Why is this not treated as a scandal?

The British Health Secretary, Jeremy Hunt, ordered the Chief Medical Officer for England to conduct a study into the medical effectiveness of two homeopathic products.

Hunt has a record of pro-quackery, which, in a rational word, would lead to not just appointment as Health Secretary being questioned, but any senior role in government.
